Fakenham Squash Club has two courts with a small viewing gallery, which are well-lit, heated in winter, and maintained to a good standard.
Courts are normally available for 1 hour sessions every day from 8:45 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. The exceptions are on days when race meetings are held, when courts are not available until 6.00 p.m., and when club events are taking place (club nights, matches, junior sessions etc). The Sports Centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, and closes early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve .
The club has a qualified Level 2 coach and two qualified Level 1 coaches. It runs weekly club nights on a Thursday evening, fun competitions, junior squash sessions on a Saturday morning, and it also runs teams in the Norfolk winter and summer inter-club leagues, As well as a team in the Norfolk racketball league.

Open Evenings
Squash open evenings are run every Thursday, 7 pm until 10pm, cost is £5 per person.
Open to anyone age 16 or over, whether club members or not, plus able juniors at the discretion of the junior squash level 2 coach (Bruce Bushell).
The aim is for everyone to have an enjoyable and sociable evening, and to get what they want out of it. Run in 15 minute sessions, you can stay as long as you like, and chose to play someone of a similar standard or get some advice and practice with one of the coaches or more experienced players to help you improve your game.

How to book a court
Courts may be booked 2 weeks in advance by members, 1 week in advance by non-members, either in person at reception or by telephone.
Payment isn’t required when booking, but courts must be paid for before playing. Failure to cancel courts that will not be used in good time before playing may result in payment for unused courts being payable.
Members may be asked to give their membership number when booking, and to produce a membership card when paying for courts.
Junior Squash
Junior squash sessions are run on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 11.30 am, minimum age 9, cost £4.00 per person.
A great way for youngsters to learn the basics, to improve and enjoy playing. There are mini-tournaments and a ‘ladder’ for those who enjoy competition, and the club also takes part in a junior county league and ‘Grand Prix’ tournaments involving young players from other clubs across the county.
There is also an opportunity for one-to-one coaching sessions on Friday evenings.
